Paying Status
Patient's paying status are categorized into Private and Subsidised rates.
- Private Rates: You will be accorded Private paying status when you
- Are referred by a private practitioner; OR
- Have requested to see a specific dentist/specialist; OR
- Are self-referred or walk-in without any prior referral from a dental practitioner
- Subsidised Rates: To qualify, you need to be referred from the following sources and already receiving subsidised treatment:
- SingHealth and NHG polyclinics
- Restructured and government hospitals
- Ministry of Defence (MINDEF)
- School Dental Service
Note: Patients who are non-residents of Singapore or referred by private practitioners or who are 'self-referrals' are not eligible for the subsidies available at the Centre.
- Medisave
Medisave is the national medical saving scheme which helps individuals set aside part of their income into the Medisave account to meet future personal or immediate family's hospitalization, day surgery and selected outpatient expenses. At the NDC, only day surgery procedures (eg. surgical removal of wisdom teeth) can be covered by Medisave. Other non-surgical outpatient dental treatment procedures are currently not covered by the scheme.
- Consultation & Treatment Charges
Treatment needs vary amongst patients, depending on the oral condition of individuals. Your dentist will propose a treatment plan for you after assessing your oral condition at the in-office consultation. He/she will then be able to provide you with a more comprehensive and accurate estimate of the costs needed for your treatment.
The minimum charges for first-time patients are:
Private & Non-Residents S$71.70 - $93.10 Subsidised S$33.50 (Rates are after GST)
These rates include consultation fees, sterile supplies and disposables used in the course of your clinical examination. Separate x-rays consultation and treatment charges will apply. Detailed financial counselling based on the treatment planned for you will be provided at your visit to the Centre.
