What To Expect On Your First Visit

Registration

If you are a new patient to our Centre, please bring along the following documents:

  • Identity Card or Birth Certificate
  • Passport (if you are not a Singaporean)
  • Referral Letter
  • Employment Pass or Work Permit (if applicable)
  • Re-entry Permit

Please arrive 15 mins before your appointment for registration.

Waiting for Your Appointment

Upon registration, a queue number and the consultation room number of your dentist will be allocated to you. Please take a seat and wait for your number to be flashed on the display before proceeding to the treatment room.

Your doctor will make every effort to begin your consultation as promptly as possible.
Occasionally, there could be situations where you may have a longer wait as your doctor attends to either an emergency or an ad hoc cross-disciplinary consultation. We ask for your patience when this happens.

Who will Attend to You

The NDC is not only a tertiary healthcare provider but also a training centre for future specialists. Unless you request for a particular specialist, you may be seen by one of our residents-in-training, under the supervision of a consultant. Patients who choose their attending dentist will be private patients.

After the Consultation

Follow-up Appointment After the session with your dentist, our staff will arrange for your follow-up appointment that best meets your needs and your doctor's instructions. The date and time of the next appointment will be indicated on your appointment card. Do remember to bring this card with you at the next visit.

Payment We accept cash, NETS, all major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa) and local cheques. Dental fee information is available on the
Ministry of Health's website.

Medisave Medisave is the national medical saving scheme which helps individuals set aside part of their income into the Medisave account to meet future personal or immediate family's hospitalization, day surgery and selected outpatient expenses. Day surgery procedures (eg. surgical removal of wisdom teeth) can be covered by Medisave at NDC. Other non-surgical outpatient dental treatment procedures are currently not covered by the scheme.

Consultation & Treatment Charges Your dentist will propose a treatment plan for you after assessing your oral condition at the in-office consultation. A detailed cost estimate of your treatment will be provided to you before treatment starts. Minimum charges for first-time patients are:

Private & Non-Residents                 S$63.13 - S$125.19
Subsidised                                    S$37 - S$47

Rates are after GST. These rates include consultation fees, sterile supplies and disposables used in the course of your clinical examination. Separate x-rays consultation and treatment charges will apply.

Medication Please proceed to pharmacy at Level 2 to have your prescription filled. Payment for medication can be made at the pharmacy.

X-Rays Original x-rays files, in digital or film format, are retained by the centre for record-keeping purposes. We wish to point out that the fees levied for x-rays includes diagnostic interpretation of the result. Duplication services are available at a fee. Please check with our staff at Tel: 6324 8846 for details.
